Homework Policy
Philosophy:
It is my philosophy that homework is to enrich what we have learned and what we are learning at the present time. It should be a review process and an exciting time for you to be a part of your child’s success!
Your child will receive his/her homework folder on Mondays or Tuesdays (depending on Holidays). Inside you will find activities that are laminated. These activities are to be used over and over again. Your child will have a expo marker to write on the lamination sheet to complete the activity. When they are finished your child needs to wipe clean the lamination sheet. There are many activities that you may choose to do for a period of 10-15 minutes a night. Have your child choose something he or she would like to work on and go from there. As you work with your child check off the day you did so. The folder is not meant for your child to complete everything every night, just one or two items depending on the child and the activity.
Now keep in mind if there are papers inserted into the pocket of our child’s folder then those papers are extra homework that your child needs to be practicing on top of what is in the folder.
Folders and any work inserted needs to be turned in daily.
